Product Information
If you don't make excuses, but actually drive out
The MAXTRAX XTREME recovery boards are designed for precisely those situations where traction is no longer just a theoretical concern: deep sand, slippery mud, or packed snow. The XTREME upgrade: 88 replaceable, hard-anodized teeth per set that you can swap out on the go instead of having to write off the entire board.
You will receive this
- 2× Recovery board (set)
- 6 integrated handles for handling/positioning
- Stackable (compatible stackable with MAXTRAX MKII and MAXTRAX mini)
Why XTREME is the real difference
- Repairable on tour: If a "tooth" is damaged, you can remove and replace it with a T-50 Torx bit without a workshop and without stress.
- Hard, anodized teeth: Designed for high grip under load, especially helpful when the wheel has already dug in.
- Robust base: Made from reinforced, heavy-duty nylon – so that the board works even when things get rough.
For which applications are they suitable?
- Sand: if you dig deeper with too much gas
- Mud: when the tread is clogged and you no longer have any grip
- Snow: when traction is lost even though "everything" seems to be fine

FAQ
How do the XTREME boards differ from classic MAXTRAX boards?
The traction teeth on the XTREME series are replaceable . This is especially advantageous if you ride a lot or your equipment is subjected to heavy use.
Will this set fit my off-road setup?
Yes, recovery boards are generally vehicle-independent. The crucial thing is that you attach them securely (e.g., roof rack, rear carrier, cargo area) and can access them quickly in an emergency.
Can I combine them with MAXTRAX MKII or mini?
Yes, they are stackable with MKII and mini handy if you mix up your recovery setup.
How do I maintain the boards?
Rinse after removing mud/sand, let dry, and check the teeth. Replace damaged teeth promptly to ensure the system remains reliable in the long term.
