"FACTOR 55" FLATLINK "E" EXPERT WINCH SHACKLE MOUNT, GRAY

The "FlatLink E" (Expert) is a variation of the popular standard FlatLink foldable winch shackle. The "FlatLink E" offers the option of replacing the traditional winch hook with a safer screw-bolt shackle, resulting in closed system winch operation. The large, pear-shaped shackle mounting hole allows attachment to the bolt or bow end of common screw-bolt shackles, as well as common OEM recovery points. This makes the new "FlatLink E" more versatile than the standard FlatLink design. Side loading of the shackle is not possible with our standard FlatLink shackle mounting due to the restriction of the shackle bolt. Suitable for the recreational off-roader, we strongly recommend the safe standard "FlatLink" product, not the "FlatLink E". This way the winch operator does not have to worry about whether the shackle has shifted and rotated in the recovery gear.

The "FlatLink E" is only available in the military-spec (Mil-A-8625 F Type III) gray hard anodized finish. Conventional winch hooks can cut and fray recovery straps, and often the strap ends can escape during the short-term slackening cycles of a typical winch recovery. Screw-bolt shackles do not allow strap loops to escape due to the secure attachment. The "FlatLink E" does not require splicing and is compatible with steel or synthetic ropes up to 3/8" in diameter. The rope eye is held in the "FlatLink E" by a 5/8" diameter 6Al4V titanium double shear pin and an internal locking ring. Installation takes just a few minutes. The EPDM rubber guard protects the expensive aluminum fairlead, for example, and is securely attached to the winch with 4 barbs.

The "FlatLink E" easily attaches to roller or aluminum fairleads and is designed for use with standard 3/4" shackles.
