The ARB differential lock can be installed later. The big advantage of this switchable lock is that the differential works like an open differential in road traffic. - No unnecessary tire wear, no unexpected intervention of the lock - Off-road, if the situation requires it, the lock is switched on by pressing a button within 1/10 of a second, with 100% effectiveness. Installation is possible without great effort, only the differential cage is replaced. The compressor required for the system provides the necessary pressure to lock the differential at the push of a button. When switched on, an annular piston built into the differential is activated, which ensures that the differential is locked. When switched off again, the compressed air escapes from the solenoid valve and small high-performance springs release the locking ring. The differential then works as a normal "open" differential. Attention: Any accessories shown such as ball, roller and roller bearings are not included in the scope of delivery. Installation should always be carried out by a specialist workshop. If an original differential lock installed by the manufacturer is present, in most cases it cannot be replaced with an ARB Airlocker or only with great effort.
