The world's first splice thimble for plastic rope shackles with rope protection and integrated rubber buffer. The unique, machined rope passage provides a robust external barrier to protect against rope impacts and abrasion as well as protection from UV radiation. Compatible with synthetic ropes up to 1/2" in diameter. NOTE: Unlike the Factor 55 ProLink and Flatlink shackle mount products, the splicer requires knowledge of splicing synthetic ropes. We recommend either the "locking Brummel splice" or the "Long Bury splice." There are many video tutorials online on how to splice ropes. WLL: Due to the splice design, the Working Load Limit (WLL) is based on the rope diameter used. Each Splice-On Shackle Mount exceeds the minimum bend radius requirements to ensure the full breaking strength of the synthetic winch ropes used.
